Hi everyone, today I would like to introduce a dive spot called ‘Dragon Lady’ in the Kerama Islands.
Dragon Lady is a dive site on Toma Bay at Zamami Island – which we often visit when we have North wind.
Mostly beautiful white sandy bottoms with some coral head here and there.
The highlight of this dive site is an old airplane wreck from 1980’s.
There is a Japanese movie shot using this Toma Bay during 1980, and in it, they sank a DC-3 at around 10m deep.
Spending the 30 years, gradually it moved… Now, you can find the wing at around 22m and the body at around 29m.
It’s a bit deep and far from the buoy, so we will need to assess if you are capable doing this dive. Advanced Open Water Certification and/or Deep Dive Specialty is required.
Besides the airplane wreck, we have various sea creatures, especially lots of cleaner shrimps.
There is a coral head around 8m deep, where we always find many cleaner shrimps, glassy sweepers, and coral groupers trying to eat small fish.

Even, the one I saw with Yannick and Hugh was trying to eat my fingers – that was funny.
Marie and I saw a cute little baby fish of Black-and White Snapper (yes, I looked up for the English name), which was just about 1cm. So cute!
Tasia saw many Anemonefish as well!
Thank you everybody for coming out diving with us! Hope you guys are having fun in Ishigaki!
Today, me and Naoji took a group from Tokyo and the states for diving in the Kerama Islands.
For most of them, it was their first time diving!

Today, Akira took the two girls out for diving in the Kerama Islands – it was the second time for Nicole, and was absolutely the first time for Daisy. Even her first time snorkeling in the ocean.

), seems two of them had fun in the water!
There are many activities you can enjoy in Okinawa- two of them went kayaking, and trekking too.
Nicole, hope you guys had fun ‘farewell trips’ in Japan!
You should come back here as a certified diver someday!
With the wind from North today, we went diving the South dive sites, where we normally go dive in winter.

We saw many fish, including the Blue Chromis, Garden Eels…. Enjoyed the swimthru at Tamaruru.
I found a tiny baby shrimp (Periclimenes Commensalis) on a Feather Star.
Good dives!

It’s summer now!
The ocean is full of baby fish everywhere!!
Especially, the caves we always go in this season are filled with schools of fish now.
The above picture is from the Chishi Blue Cave, there are two schools now – one is Arrow Cardinals, and other is consisted of baby Sweepers.
The picture on the lef was taken at Maeda Blue Cave – it’s a school of baby Rabbitfish.
Altough each fish is so small (Arrow Cardinals and baby Rabbitfish in the pictures are about 1 inch), when they make a school, they make a specutaclar scene in the water!
The picture below was taken at Misgiragi Point in the Zampa area on Okinawa West Coast.
Once a year, in this season, they come gather at around the same rock (always the same rock), to mate.
Millions of Surgeon Fish.
